The following Australian wines were reviewed by BuyLine members Abe Horowitz and John Stroker, and senior editor Lyn Farmer at Two Chefs in Miami on September 13 with Rosemount winemaker Matt Koch. The wines appear in the order in which they were poured and were not tasted blind.

88   Rosemount, 2007 Chardonnay
Show Reserve, Mudgee
Pale lemon yellow hue with green highlights. Crisp scents of lemon and white peach with hints of mineral and slate. Creamy flavors of grapefruit, kumquat and Mandarin orange on the palate, wrapping up with hints of gingerbread in the crisp, almost-tart finish. $17

90   Rosemount, 2005 Chardonnay
Roxburgh, Hunter Valley
Shimmering pale gold in hue. Lovely hint of honey and honeysuckle on the delicate nose. Cleansing acidity and juicy flavors of white peach and golden delicious apple. Impressions of nutmeg and vanilla in the pear-driven close. $25

90   Rosemount, 2005 GSM
Show Reserve, McLaren Vale
Transparent crimson hue. Oaky nose revealing impressions of plum, mocha and pencil lead. In the mouth, the fruit explodes in a riot of raspberry, blackberry and rum cake. Velvety tannins and lingering impressions of mocha, wild cherry and chocolate-covered raisin in the close. $25

92   Rosemount, 2004 Balmoral Syrah
McLaren Vale
Lovely purple robe - mesmerizingly intense. Exotic scents of dust, mocha, plum and blackberry. Ripe flavors of blueberry and black cherry with hints of black pepper and violet. Lush tannins, maple and sweet tobacco mark the long, generous close. $45

87   Rosemount, 2005 Traditional
Show Reserve, McLaren Vale
Dense garnet hue. Tart, herbal nose of eucalyptus, menthol and leather. Sweet flavors of blackberry and chocolate. Velvety tannins and lingering impressions of tobacco and Earl Grey tea. $25

92   Rosemount, 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon
Show Reserve, Coonawarra
Inky black with a crimson rim. Very inviting nose of violets and black currant followed by mocha and leather. In the mouth, the wine is medium weight with a fine, silky texture and elegant flavors of rose, violets and minerals. Layers of blueberry, raspberry and mocha in the endless close. $21

St. Supéry

The following wines were tasted by Buyline member John Stroker and senior editor Lyn Farmer on September 15 at a tasting led by St. Supéry CEO Michaela Rodeno at the Capital Grille in Miami. The wines were not tasted blind.

89   St. Supéry, 1999 Meritage
Napa Valley
Deep crimson hue. Light berry and mineral scents with a sprinkle of cocoa aromas. Raspy tannins on entry with raspberry, red currant and a nice backing of dusty earth notes. Tart and tangy close with baker's chocolate and violet impressions that accompany oaky tannins. $85

92   St. Supery, 2004 Élu Meritage
Napa Valley
Dense inky-purple robe. Distinct milk chocolate bouquet with black cherry and light oak scents. Very smooth texture on entry showcases jammy cherry, blackberry and focused tannins with an elegant backing of acidity. Drying close resonates with chocolate, red fruit and fine-combed tannins. $65

90   St. Supéry, 2005 Cabernet Franc
Napa Valley
Bright ruby hue. Pretty floral scents with hints of anise, mint and black currant. Chewy, cherry-laced tannins on entry with aspects of tar and leather. Tart fruit in the lingering finish with dusty tannins and a touch of citrus-tinged acidity. A well-balanced wine that exhibits more elegance than intensity. $50

91   St. Supéry, 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon
Napa Valley
Dense purple hue. Pretty aromas of evergreen, leather and dusty cocoa. Soft and supple on entry with juicy black cherry and plum that evolves on the palate. Zesty acids in the close with a nice balance of red fruit and ripe tannins bode well for complementing a range of foods. $38

93   St. Supéry, 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon
Limited, Dollarhide Ranch, Napa Valley
Dense ruby hue with great depth and intensity. Aromatic bouquet of violets, focused black cherry and light coffee aromas. Silky and supple on the palate with velvety black fruit and superb integration of acids and oak-laced tannins. Beautifully balanced flavors on the finish showcase bright cherry, fine-combed tannins and a great acid backbone. $85

Yarden

The following wines were reviewed by Buyline panelist Abraham Horowitz on July 9 at Caramelo in Miami. The wines were presented by Yarden winemaker Victor Schoenfeld and were not tasted blind.

Reserved scents of butterscotch and honeydew with mineral hints. Creamy lemon custard flavors. Silky acidity and lingering butterscotch notes. $16

Odem Vineyard, Northern Golan
Pale gold hue. Aromas of green apple and walnut. Sweet flavors of vanilla and pineapple. A touch of nutmeg in the caramel close. $18

91   Yarden, 2004 Merlot
Ortal Vineyard, Northern Golan
Dense ruby hue. Classic aromas of black cherry and chocolate with hints of menthol and leather. Juicy flavors of raspberry and wild cherry. Velvety tannins and lingering chocolate and cherry notes. $55
